About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our design team and contribute to the development of innovative, high-quality products. As a Designer 2, you will be responsible for designing for our Veilance product category, with a specific focus on women's product and perspective. You will work closely with our senior leaders to create and execute assigned product designs that are future-oriented and user-centric.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop product solutions that meet our design philosophies and exceed our guests' evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with our senior leaders to create and execute assigned product designs.
  • Contribute to the commercialization of innovative technologies, including materials, pattern, and construction techniques.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our materials and manufacturing techniques.
  • Collaborate with our Fit & Pattern team to resolve fit style and construction issues.
  • Coordinate with our Materials team to test new materials and ensure that necessary items are available for prototyping.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our products and their features.
  • Collaborate with our Development and Merchandising teams on concepting and prototyping for seasonal products.
  • Present at internal meetings, design reviews, and seasonal stage gates.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing products, preferably textile-based, with a specific focus on designing women's product.
  • Ability to create tools and construction methods to assist in solving construction issues.
  • Constant finger on the pulse of evolving city cultures and evolving markets, but seek a timeless solve over temporary trends.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Technical and creative skills to pattern and prototype.
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset.
  • Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and seeking the best solutions.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
  • Able to balance autonomy and collaboration.
  • Passion for your work and a passion for getting outside and living it.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 CAD per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
