We're seeking a talented Product Designer to join our team at Arc'teryx, a leading outdoor apparel and equipment company. As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in creating innovative, high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of our guests.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our design team and contribute to the development of our Veilance product category, with a focus on women's products. You will work closely with our senior designers, development teams, and innovation partnerships to challenge and evolve the way we bring innovative ideas to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and execute assigned product designs that are future-oriented and user-centric
  • Help define the current and future global guest, their needs, and expectations through mood boards, visualizing consumer journeys, and market analysis
  • Contribute to the commercialization of innovative technologies, including materials, pattern, and construction techniques for existing and new product categories
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques used by Arc'teryx
  • Collaborate with the Fit & Pattern team to resolve fit style and construction issues
  • Coordinate with the Materials team to test new materials and ensure necessary items are available for prototyping
  • Present at internal meetings, design reviews, and seasonal stage gates
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing products, preferably textile-based, with a focus on women's products
  • Ability to create tools and construction methods to assist in solving construction issues
  • Digital/technical expertise with experience using CLO3D, Adobe Illustrator, and Gerber, or equivalent pattern software
  • Excellent team player with the ability to take direction and work independently
  • Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
