Automation and Technology Leadership Position

This is a challenging leadership role for an experienced engineer, responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex projects related to landing gear components and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the engineering and programming teams at Kitchener and Cambridge locations, ensuring successful project execution and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage the design, implementation, and optimization of automated systems, driving innovation and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage budgets for the Methods department, as well as oversee the quotation process.
- Liaise with customers, management team, and internal stakeholders regarding engineering issues and opportunities.
- Involved in special projects, supplier involvement, new machine acquisition, and developing departmental infrastructure to support internal and external customers.
- Monitor and develop the engineering and programming staff's skills, leading technical teams and coordinating cross-departmental efforts.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying new opportunities to drive process efficiency and excellence.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, with 8+ years of engineering management or supervisory experience in CNC manufacturing, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques, emerging technologies, and methods/programming tools (CATIA, Vericut, etc.).
- Excellent project management, leadership, and supervisory skills, with the ability to coach and mentor staff to develop and maintain a strong team.
- Familiarity with AS0 quality system requirements and the ability to work under tight deadlines, interacting with coworkers and customers in a positive and professional manner.
We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $175,000 per year, based on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative environment.
