About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Senior Nurse Practitioner in our Ophthalmology Clinic, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care with a focus on minor surgeries and clinic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care, support, and educational information to patients and their significant others.
  • Participate in the collection of statistical data required for program evaluation.
  • Maintain interdisciplinary consultative and collaborative relationships with other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe patient-focused care.
Requirements
  • Two years of ophthalmic nursing experience is required.
  • Recent acute care nursing experience is an asset.
  • Experience in Ambulatory Care and minor surgical procedures is preferred.
Education and Training
  • A Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program is required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) category of training is recommended.
  • The ability to speak French at a pre-determined linguistic level is an asset.
Physical Requirements
  • You must possess the physical health to meet the requirements of the position.
  • This role requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your annual salary, you can also expect to receive benefits such as medical and dental coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
