Douglas College invites applications for a contract instructor position to teach courses in cultural anthropology, archaeology, and Indigenous culture. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our students' knowledge and skills in these areas.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures and seminars based on the curriculum and program guidelines.
- Instruct students and facilitate their learning process.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Plan, organize, and manage learning activities to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide academic advice and support to students.
Requirements:
- A completed PhD in Anthropology from an accredited university or a doctoral candidate with a defence date established.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching courses in cultural anthropology, archaeology, and Indigenous cultures, particularly at the first year level.
- Excellence in teaching diverse groups of students and a commitment to undergraduate education.
