Overview
Douglas College is a leading institution in the field of English Language Learning and Acquisition. We are seeking to expand our list of contract instructors qualified to teach both EAP and TESL courses in a dynamic academic environment.

Salary
The salary for this position is $52 per hour or $7,716 per three-credit course, with actual salary or hourly rate based on the number of credits and term of appointment according to the Collective Agreement.

Job Description
As a contract instructor in the ELLA Department, you will be responsible for delivering quality learner-centred instruction, holding regular office hours, and maintaining currency in the field through regular professional development. A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching adult EAP and evidence of ongoing professional development in EAP and TESL are required. Training and experience teaching LINC is an asset.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of EAP and TESL principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
