Job Title: Educational Program Assistant

St. Agnes Junior High is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Program Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Educational Program Assistant will provide support to students with diverse needs, working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as toileting and personal care
  • Support students with physical and behavioral needs, including seizure management and behavior management
  • Assist with implementation and tracking of behavior targets and de-escalation strategies
  • Provide support with the use of assistive technology and physiotherapy follow-up
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create individualized education plans
Requirements:
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Light lifting (up to 20 pounds) and medium lifting (up to 50 pounds)
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification
  • Experience working with students with Down's Syndrome and Autism
  • Related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution
