Job Title: Educational Program Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educational Program Assistant to join our team at Inglis Street Elementary. As an Educational Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Job Summary:

The Educational Program Assistant will provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism, in a classroom setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing individualized education plans, providing behavioral support, and assisting with daily living skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized education plans and provide behavioral support to students with diverse needs
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as toileting and personal care
  • Use assistive technology to support student learning
  • Provide seizure management and behavior management support
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support system for students
Requirements:
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience working with students with autism
  • Related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution
