Job Title: Educational Program Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Program Assistant to join our team at St. Stephen's Elementary. As an Educational Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Job Summary:

The Educational Program Assistant will provide support to students with special needs, assisting with daily routines, educational activities, and behavioral management. This is a 10-month position, with a work schedule in accordance with the school year calendar.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with special needs, including daily routines, educational activities, and behavioral management.
  • Assist with implementation and tracking of behavior targets, de-escalation strategies, and pro-social skills.
  • Support students with toileting, personal care, and other medical-related procedures.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Light lifting (up to 20 pounds).
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution.
