Job Title: Educational Program Assistant

Colby Village Elementary is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Program Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Educational Program Assistant will provide support to students with autism and other exceptionalities in a classroom setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement individualized education plans and provide a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with autism and other exceptionalities
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as toileting and personal care
  • Use assistive technology to support student learning
  • Implement behavior management strategies to support student behavior
  • Assist with implementation of individualized education plans
Requirements:
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Light lifting (up to 20 pounds)
  • Trained or willing to be trained in toileting, personal care, and use of assistive technology
  • Experience working with autism an asset
