Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team at Trail Appliances Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate pricing and oversee special-order processes to ensure timely receipt of goods
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and supplier representatives to support business objectives
  • Create, verify, and maintain purchase order documentation, negotiate product pricing, and manage order quantities to minimize costs
  • Expedite shipments, confirm estimated delivery dates (ETDs), and follow up on backordered products
  • Prepare and present reports for management and ownership, identifying trends or issues in purchasing processes and recommending improvements
Requirements
  • Experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably with a customer-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in computer systems and inventory management software, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
