About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic IT Procurement Professional to join our Technical and Corporate Procurement Strategic Sourcing Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic sourcing and contract management expertise within the category of Information Technology (IT).

You will actively contribute to the Corporate Procurement organization, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to meet critical business requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Indirect Procurement activities within large organizations, with a focus on procuring IT solutions. You will be able to establish and maintain effective engagement with internal stakeholders and vendors, work with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, and develop and execute Procurement strategies for assigned portfolio and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional sourcing teams to execute agreed upon procurement strategies
  • Identify and execute innovative solutions to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Establish vendor selection criteria and qualify vendors against established processes
  • Lead negotiations striving for maximum value and cost savings
Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • A university graduate with 5 – 7 years related experience or 10+ years combination of post-secondary education and related experience
  • A degree in Business or Supply Chain Management would be considered an asset
  • A Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation (or equivalent international certification) would be considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Effective change management and conflict management skills
Benefits

No relocation assistance is available for this position. Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience. This role requires up to 10% travel and the successful candidate must be eligible to travel easily between Canada and the United States.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
