Job Description:

">Procurement Specialist">

This role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the supplier qualification process, administering and maintaining the contract management database, and providing contract administration support when required.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  1. ">
  2. Coordinate and oversee the supplier qualification process, including coordination with internal and external contacts.">
  3. Review documentation submitted by suppliers to ensure accuracy and completeness.">
  4. Assess risk for all suppliers based on established criteria and conduct the supplier qualification process accordingly.">
  5. Monitor and ensure supplier documentation is valid.">
  6. Respond to supplier inquiries regarding the supplier qualification process.">
  7. Maintain the external supplier inquiry database and respond to external supplier inquiries.">
  8. Prepare reports and provide updates to internal contacts as required.">
  9. Maintain the contract management database and ensure accuracy of contract information.">
  10. Act as a subject matter expert for the contract management database.">
  11. Provide reports and communicate with various departments regarding contract expiry and other pertinent information.">
  12. Participate in process improvement initiatives.">
">Requirements:">
  • ">
  • University degree or college diploma in business, supply chain management, finance, or related disciplines.">
  • Professional designation such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) preferred.">
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in procurement or supply chain management.">
  • Proven ability/experience in the above-noted responsibilities.">
  • Background in electrical utilities industry an asset.">
  • Strong attention to detail.">
  • Strong analytical skills.">
  • Good computer skills, including experience with SAP and ComplyWorks an asset.">
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks.">
  • Organization and time management skills.">
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers.">
  • Proven track record of good attendance and performance.">
