Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Provide basic supportive services, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
Requirements
  • Grade X diploma or equivalent.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized institution required.
  • 1 year previous experience in providing rehabilitative, long-term care or chronic care to patients/residents preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic nursing care principles, techniques, and procedures.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and mobilize patients safely, using appropriate techniques.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work safely without injury to self, patients/residents, or other staff members. The physical and mental demands of this role require strong stamina and attention to detail.

What We Offer

Riverview Health Centre offers a competitive salary range of $52,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. This position also includes comprehensive benefits, including extended health and dental coverage, pension plan, and generous vacation time.
