Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Health Care Support Specialist to join our interdisciplinary health care team at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to grow their careers in the healthcare sector.

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with Registered Nurses to provide basic supportive services as delegated. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients/residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients/residents
  • Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Grade X education and a recognized Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Previous experience in providing rehabilitative, long-term care or chronic care to patients/residents (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of basic nursing care principles, techniques, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
