Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel to collect, review, and produce documents.
  • Draft routine correspondence and ensure timely submissions.
  • Review documents and code for relevance and privilege, maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
  • Prepare transcript summaries and assist lawyers with trial preparations.
  • Prepare pleadings, including Form F8 Financial Statements, Affidavits, Notices of Application, and Lists of Documents.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of litigation experience with a specialty in family law.
  • Paralegal certificate or relevant experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of BC Supreme Court Rules, court practices, and procedures, and filing deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of Family Law Rules.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and desire to provide quality work.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
  • High client service orientation.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
