Mackenzie Health is a leading healthcare provider seeking highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurses to join our team. With a patient-centered approach, we strive to deliver exceptional care to our patients and their families.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Regulated Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality patient care in accordance with evidence-based practices
- Collaborating with interprofessional teams to create a world-class health experience
- Assessing patients to detect changes in condition and reporting to appropriate team members
- Administering and documenting therapeutic interventions and medications according to policies and standards
- Acting as a patient advocate and participating in continuous quality improvement activities
Requirements:
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Coronary Care Course 1 or commitment to completing within 1 year of hire
- Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program
- Membership in the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO)
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting within the past 3 years
- Emergency or Telemetry experience
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on location and experience. Mackenzie Health offers a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
