Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Director to join our team at The Headhunters Recruitment, Inc. as an Assistant Director of Research and Policy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Inuit research, policy analysis, and community development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with our team to develop and implement research protocols, data management systems, and policy recommendations related to Inuit rights and self-determination.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Inuit organizations, government agencies, and community groups.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to our team on research and evaluation initiatives, including the development of research priorities and goals.
  • Strengthen our organization's capacity for research and evaluation by building partnerships with other departments, regional Inuit associations, and national organizations.
  • Represent our organization in meetings, conferences, and on committees and working groups related to research, monitoring, and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as research methods, policy analysis, or community development.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Inuit research, policy analysis, and community development.
  • Strong knowledge of Inuit culture, history, and current issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to speak Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun, or a willingness to learn.
