High Impact ER Strategist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced High Impact ER Strategist to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. This role will provide expert advice and counsel to executives, people managers, and employees on complex and high-risk workplace situations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 7+ years direct experience in Employee Relations and/or Employment Law, with a proven track record of aligning and integrating risk management with business and HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice on employee relations matters, including performance management, Code of Conduct breaches, and business initiatives.
- Manage highly complex cases and act as the first point of escalation for ERAs on complex matters arising in their portfolio.
- Work closely with Director/Sr. Director on complex and sensitive matters and broader business-related initiatives.
- Build and maintain key relationships with businesses and functions, influencing and negotiating while being viewed as a true partner.
- Support ER senior management with the development of internal resources, guidelines, processes, and tools to facilitate ER's ability to provide a consistent approach to case management.
What You Will Need To Succeed
- A minimum 7+ years direct experience in Employee Relations and/or Employment Law.
- Post-secondary education (preferred focus in Human Resources or Employment Law).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian employment law & regulations (both federal & provincial including human rights, accommodation, whistleblowing, and workplace standards / requirements).
- Proven experience in managing complex cases, providing coaching and advice to ERAs, and building key relationships with businesses and functions.

Salary Range
