Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Services Portfolio Advisor to amplify the impact of our portfolio ventures by connecting them with key resources like technology and talent. You will collaborate with experts in technology, investment, and program development to drive shared goals and empower organizations making a difference.

Responsibilities:
  • Foster strong relationships with portfolio leadership, technology leads, and venture team members to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the ventures industry, sector, region, and overall operating context to provide strategic guidance.
  • Facilitate communications with portfolio ventures to ensure regular milestone check-ins and engagement opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic matchmaker, connecting portfolio ventures with suitable support services to maximize value for both the venture and NearSource.
Operational Responsibilities:
  • Collect and document feedback from completed engagements to assess success and impact.
  • Identify insights and trends to share with the NearSource team and broader community, enhancing activities like impact measurement and storytelling.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in supporting entrepreneurs, social impact innovators, ventures, or nonprofits, with a passion for sustainability and social impact topics.
