Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Asset Liability Management Specialist to join our team at Manulife and John Hancock. As a key member of our Investment Division, you will play a critical role in managing the Company's General Fund on-balance sheet assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance ALM systems, processes, and reports to ensure timely and accurate production of operational activities and reports.
  • Manage business requirements, requests, and emerging issues that impact asset management, including new business, reinsurance transactions, corporate restructuring, acquisitions, and integration.
  • Support interest rate risk forecast and provide senior management with updated risk position and market-driven gain/loss analysis.
  • Collaborate with ALM teams to develop liability-driven investment strategies and hedging strategies to ensure optimized balance of return and risks.
Requirements
  • FSA/FCIA with investment experience or Masters in a quantitative discipline, finance, or CFA/PRM/FRM or other relevant risk management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a financial/investment risk management environment.
  • Excellent quantitative finance and/or mathematics skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to support, coach, and motivate team members.
