Job Summary

The Asset Manager will assist with the development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of key performance metrics and analytical models for Centurion Property Associates Inc. This role will conduct local market research for a national portfolio of multi-family residential apartment buildings and student housing communities, identify areas of property operational inefficiencies, and suggest opportunities for revenue enhancement and additional value creation.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct local market research for a national portfolio of multi-family residential apartment buildings and student housing communities.
  • Asset manage third-party property management companies, monitor and identify areas of property operational inefficiencies, key performance indicators, business trends, and abnormal variances.
  • Bring forth recommendations to the Associate Director, Asset Management based on the outcome of the market research.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Oversee the performance of 3rd party assets in Canada and USA according to the approved operating and capital expenditure budgets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  • 3-5 years' analytical experience, preferably within residential asset management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively to both individuals and groups.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to multi-task.
  • Highly motivated and able to take the initiative required to excel in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve problems in a timely manner using relevant information, sound reasoning, and common sense.
  • Excellent command of MS Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Working experience with Yardi property management software is a plus.
