Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt and storage of incoming products, maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy in stock management, and upholding the standards of the receiving, storage, and cooler facilities at Farm Boy Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload and distribute all deliveries from suppliers to relevant departments and coolers with precision and attention to detail.
  • Verify the accuracy of all deliveries and report any discrepancies or issues to the management team promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by performing general housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and equipment maintenance.
  • Comply with corporate policies, particularly those related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and equipment use.
  • Treat suppliers and drivers with respect and fairness, adhering to Farm Boy Service Standards.
  • Handle merchandise returns, including skids and bins, as required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Superior customer service skills, organizational abilities, and interpersonal communication style.
  • Up to 6 months of experience in a related position, preferably handling perishable goods.
  • Ability to work independently with a high standard for quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team environment with clear and effective communication.
  • Able to operate a lift truck and possess knowledge of receiving/cooler facilities and equipment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged exposure to cool, damp working conditions.
  • Unavoidable exposure to noise, dirt, dust, vibration, and extreme temperatures.
  • Required to wear protective clothing or equipment, lift heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds, and adapt to temperature changes.
