Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team at Delhi Delite Indian Cuisine & sweets. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for planning menus, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation.
About the Role
- Estimated salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year (based on location and industry standards)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an executive chef or in a senior kitchen management role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff
- Proven ability to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with menu planning, inventory control, and food costing
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and maximize profitability
- Manage inventory and supplies to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of resources
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance and training as needed
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and labor costs
- Recruit, interview, and hire new staff members as needed
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or a related field
