Job Summary:

Semtech's Customer Experience Team is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with product development engineers to investigate and resolve hardware and software issues found by customers. You will also update our Knowledge Base to provide better self-service for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues via email and phone calls, providing timely updates to customers and management teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including field support staff and engineers, to isolate problems and implement solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of the Customer Knowledge Base, sharing knowledge of products and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with the Global Customer Experience team to provide exceptional customer support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent certifications.
  • 3+ years' experience in an Engineering or Technical Support role in a customer-facing environment.
  • Working knowledge of network analysis tools, such as Wireshark.
  • Strong networking background, including TCP/IP, port-forwarding, and firewall configuration.
  • General knowledge of telecommunications systems and standards, including LTE/5G systems.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively discuss and share information with other teams.

Compensation:

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $53,000 - $83,000, based on factors such as job-related qualifications, skills, education, and experience, as well as job location and total compensation package.
