Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is a key role within the Particle Processing Team (PPT) at IDEX Corporation. The primary challenge of this position is to develop sales growth in North America. This involves supporting existing customers with new equipment applications and developing new opportunities in various industries with powder handling & material handling applications.

This role requires regular travel within the region and occasional international travel to support other business activities, such as training, exhibitions, and customer visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Fitzpatrick and Quadro products in North America as requested.
  • Develop a healthy sales funnel within the territory through prospecting and nurturing future business.
  • Develop and win new sales opportunities within the territory, including electronic outreach, contact via telephone, and networking.
  • Work with customers to review and define User Requirement Specifications.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and qualify new leads.
  • Help nurture opportunities and lead consultative selling activities.
  • Follow-up on proposals, negotiate, and win orders.
  • Manage existing channel partners and appoint new representatives where appropriate across the territory.
  • Provide regular contact with existing customers and support service and after-sales activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team on marketing plans, including developing content, providing feedback on campaigns, and facilitating seminars & trade shows.
  • Ensure the group's CRM database is actively managed, especially in relation to customer visits, quoting, forecasting, and similar information.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience selling capital equipment.
  • Experience managing commissioned sales representatives and distributors.
  • Demonstration of negotiation and sales with senior customer leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and capability to travel worldwide.
  • An aptitude for technical consultation and product configuration is a must.
  • Post-secondary technical training would be an asset (degree or diploma in an engineering discipline preferred).
  • Spanish fluency is considered an asset.
