Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Account Manager to join our team at Kawartha Credit Union Limited. As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with commercial members and prospects, providing financial solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Building
    • Apply relationship selling and relationship management principles and techniques to all commercial members and prospects.
    • Provide complete financial solutions to meet all commercial and personal banking needs.
  • Risk Management
    • Accountable for risk management of the commercial loan portfolio.
    • Analyze information received to assess risk and develop action plans to minimize Credit Union exposure.
  • Business Development
    • Maintain an effective business development and community involvement strategy to protect and expand share of profitable Commercial business.
    • Utilize an extensive network of referral resources to identify opportunities.
  • Liaison and Collaboration
    • Liaise with professional service providers such as Central 1, lawyers, real estate appraisers, credit reporting/collection agencies, and insurers.
    • Work co-operatively with all Credit Union branch or department personnel to identify opportunities to ensure members' needs and expectations are profitably met and/or exceeded.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Retain and expand Commercial relationships to achieve portfolio retention, sales, service, and profitability objectives.
    • Proactively develop relationships with new Commercial members.
  • Compliance and Credit Reviews
    • Complete annual credit reviews in a timely manner according to policy.
    • Coordinate financial information requirements with the Commercial Administration Department.
Qualifications
  • Business-related University Degree/College Diploma, or appropriate combination of Business and lending-related courses.
  • 3-7 years progressive commercial lending experience.
  • Knowledge of the Credit Union system would be an asset.
  • Able to be decisive and firm, while demonstrating empathy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent sales and service skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
