Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Office Manager to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing all store funds, ensuring accurate cash handling and record keeping, and maintaining the financial integrity and security of our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage Store Funds: Confirm the accuracy of cash handling and record keeping, and ensure that all store funds are properly accounted for.
  2. Process Register Bags: Prepare deposits for armored car pickup and reconcile end-of-day business transactions.
  3. Identify and Address Shortages: Communicate shortages to management and Loss Prevention, and take steps to prevent future shortages.
  4. Monitor Security Risks: Identify potential security risks and inform management and Loss Prevention.
  5. Maintain a Safe and Secure Work Environment: Ensure that the cash office is secure when unattended, and maintain a safe and secure work environment in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Attention to Detail: You must be able to accurately manage store funds and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You must be able to effectively communicate with management and Loss Prevention regarding shortages and security risks.
  • Ability to Work Independently: You must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience in Cash Handling and Record Keeping: You should have experience in managing store funds and maintaining accurate records.
  • Knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures: You should have knowledge of Walmart Canada's policies and procedures related to cash handling and record keeping.
