Job Description:
This role will oversee the implementation and management of health and safety programs across Loblaw Energy and Facilities (LEaF) operations in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of employees, maintaining compliance with regional regulations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to strengthen and leverage corporate and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of occupational health and safety programs, standards, and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with area/regional directors and safety representatives to execute their roles.
  • Provide direction and support for entire Safety Management System, including involvement in field activities such as rollouts, training programs, and operationalization.
  • Assist operational leadership by reaffirming safety standards and overseeing work execution management through systematic assurance of activities and participation in corrective action plans.
  • Support health and safety matters to ensure compliance with provincial legislation, as well as federal regulations driven by internal and third-party audits, inspections, and investigations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • NCSO or CRSP designation.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressively responsible health & safety experience within the construction industry is preferred. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Comprehensive understanding and interpretation of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation across Canada, with an in-depth knowledge of Construction.
  • Proven project management, coordination, interpersonal, communication, writing, computer, as well as data/analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Salary:
$85,000-$110,000 per year
