Loblaw Companies Ltd - Head Office is seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team as National Health and Safety Manager. This senior leadership role requires a proven track record in health and safety management, with expertise in Occupational Health and Safety Legislation across Canada.
About the RoleWe are committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, customers, and vendors. As National Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regional safety regulations, conducting assessments, inspections, observations, reviews, data analysis, and corrective actions. You will also provide support to the Store Development and Construction Division of Loblaw Real Estate (LRE) and collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen and leverage corporate and industry best practices.
Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide direction and support for the entire Safety Management System, including involvement in field activities such as rollouts, training programs, and operationalization.
- Safety Program Development: Act as the principal contributor in the development, implementation, and sustainment of occupational health and safety programs, standards, and training initiatives.
- Operational Support: Support operational leadership by reaffirming safety standards and overseeing work execution management through systematic assurance of activities and participation in corrective action plans.
- Compliance and Governance: Assist with health and safety matters to ensure compliance with provincial legislation, as well as federal regulations driven by internal and third-party audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Incident Management: Conduct or participate in area assessments, inspections, observations, reviews, data analysis, and assist in the completion of corrective actions as required.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
