We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at Mnp Llp. As a trusted advisor, you will play a key role in delivering customized tax strategies to our clients, navigating complex regulatory frameworks, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple client-facing engagement teams to complete tax engagements, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Apply industry and technical expertise in taxation and assurance through client interactions, reports, and management presentations.
  • Evaluate business processes and policies, advising on policy and tax changes to develop proactive tax strategies.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, such as the Canada Revenue Agency, to resolve client issues.
  • Prepare election forms for corporate reorganizations and assist in managing personal and trust tax compliance seasons.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business needs, key risks, and opportunities for added value.
  • Accountable for engagement planning, scheduling, and project financials, including budgets, WIPS, timely billing, and variance recognition.
  • Maintain high-quality control, applying specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues relevant to clients' businesses.
  • Network in the local business community, identifying business development opportunities and contributing to proposal preparation and delivery.
  • Contribute to process improvements and mentor, motivate, and coach team members for professional and personal development.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary.
Requirements
  • Completion of Level 1 of In-depth Tax Program and other specialist development courses.
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Canadian Tax.
  • Strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles.
  • Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
