We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Ah-So Korea/BUSU, where you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and leadership abilities.
Job DescriptionAs an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to our cooking staff, creating new recipes, preparing and cooking complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, supervising cooks and other kitchen staff, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, planning menus and ensuring food meets quality standards, and training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- a strong background in Japanese and Korean cuisine;
- at least 2 years of experience as a chef or in a related field;
- excellent leadership and communication skills;
- the ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads;
- attention to detail and the ability to stand for extended periods;
- and the capacity to train and supervise staff.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental plan, disability benefits, healthcare plan, group insurance benefits, and life insurance.
