Extrusion Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Extrusion Department Manager to join our team at Hood Packaging Corporation. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our extrusion department, ensuring the highest level of productivity, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise a team of production staff, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve departmental efficiency, productivity, and quality, in line with company goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure alignment with company-wide initiatives and objectives.
- Monitor and control the use of raw materials and consumables, ensuring optimal usage and minimizing waste.
- Implement and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with suppliers, customers, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
- Assist in the development of reports and KPIs to measure departmental performance and progress.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or administration, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Relevant experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze production reports and implement changes as required.
- Bilingualism in French and English is essential.
