Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of sales floor staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet sales targets.
- Assign sales workers to duties, taking into account their skills and abilities.
- Provide guidance and support to sales staff to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Merchandise Management
- Order merchandise, ensuring that it is delivered to the store in a timely and efficient manner.
- Authorize the return of merchandise, ensuring that it is done in accordance with company policies.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date.
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their shopping experience.
- Direct customers to the location of articles sought, ensuring that they are able to find what they need.
- Keep stock clean and in order, ensuring that it is presented in a way that is appealing to customers.
- Reporting and Administration
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage cash, ensuring that it is handled in accordance with company policies.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
