Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Extrusion Department. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Manage a team of production staff while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Production Planning and Control: Develop and implement production plans to meet company goals and objectives.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards, and that the department is in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of raw materials and finished goods to ensure that the department has the necessary resources to meet production demands.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control departmental expenses to ensure that they are in line with company budget.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with production staff, other departments, and management to ensure that all needs are met.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering or business administration.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to analyze production reports, and experience with inventory management and cost control.
- Language: Bilingualism in French and English is required.
