About the Role

Fidelity Canada is seeking a talented student to join our Digital Applications Development team as a co-op student. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the development of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer behavior and develop classification models to improve our online services.
  • Participate in the development of responsive web designs and proof of concept projects.
  • Assist in the investigation of our next-generation web platform and identify areas for improvement.
  • Complete ad-hoc programming assignments to support our Digital Applications Development Team.
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify, recommend, and prioritize new application features.
  • Work with team members to design, code, test, debug, and implement new web pages and sites, as well as mobile applications, adhering to Fidelity standards and practices.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a registered co-op program with a concentration in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of web development, including Java, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5 technologies, CSS, CSS3, and jQuery libraries.
  • Knowledge of application servers, such as Tomcat, and automation tools, such as Selenium, is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative aptitude focused on user experience design.
  • Ability to work in a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity's dynamic working arrangement.
