About This Opportunity
Black & McDonald is seeking a full-time Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our Kingston office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting technical workflow on assigned construction projects related to the electrical and mechanical field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in ensuring project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications.
- Assist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established timelines.
- Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships.
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
- Coordinate trade and subcontractor activities.
- Ensure site is operating in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Education Requirements
- A College Diploma in Construction or Mechanical Engineering Technology or a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in the trades may substitute for education requirements.
Work Experience Requirements
- Experience in the construction industry would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish a strong working relationship with co-workers, vendors, and clients.
