Job Title: Construction Project Coordinator Expert

The role of the Construction Project Coordinator is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects. Reporting directly to a Project Manager, this individual will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various project activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Documentation Management: The coordinator will be accountable for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of project documentation, which encompasses but is not limited to meeting minutes, change orders, site instructions, owner's instructions, shop drawings, drawing logs, progress claims, field notices, and sustainability requirements such as LEED, waste management, erosion control, and materials testing.
  • Project Reporting: Set up and maintain comprehensive project reporting procedures that cover cost reports, project status updates, document drawing control, and shop drawing document control.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain precise and current logs of RFIs (requests for information), vendor/subcontractor interactions, purchases, and other relevant project elements, track responses, and provide stakeholders with timely updates.
  • Site Meetings and Communication: Assist in the coordination of trade contractor site meetings, manage RFIs, invoices, and the document control process.
  • Administrative Tasks: Oversee all project administration tasks including payroll, timekeeping, labor coding, equipment coding, purchase order coding, and safety reporting.
  • Plan Review: Conduct thorough reviews of construction plans to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations and ordinances covering plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural aspects.
Requirements:
  • A diploma in an appropriate construction-related field or equivalent experience in the construction industry.
  • At least one year of experience as a project coordinator in construction.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and construction plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe or Bluebeam Revu software.
  • Strong understanding of construction trades, safety protocols, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations and legislation.
Compensation:

We offer a competitive annual salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 based on location and experience.
