About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Leostar Development Group Inc. as an Exterior and Interior Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, using a variety of techniques and tools to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan and schedule work to ensure timely completion.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide guidance on color selection and wall covering options.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in painting and wall covering.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in various locations, with a willingness to travel.
  • Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, ability to distinguish between colors, and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
