About the Job

VSG Landscaping and Renovation is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired color and texture, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure surfaces are in good condition.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to desired color and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Operate various equipment and machinery, including brushes and rollers, to apply paint and other materials.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, providing excellent customer service and ensuring projects are completed to satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience in painting and wall covering is an asset.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, in various weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring manual labor and lifting.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
