About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at International Fence & Railings Ltd. as an Exterior and Interior Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, as well as repairing cracks and holes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, including walls, ceilings, and floors.
  • Painting and Coating: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, using airless spray equipment, brush painting, and roller painting techniques.
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation: Operate airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, multi-ratio pump spraying, patterned rollers, and roller painting.
  • Surface Preparation Experience: Perform drywall taping/patching, water/hydroblasting, steam cleaning, flame cleaning, and sandblasting to prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Coating/Application Specialization: Apply aggregate painting, fibreglassing, fire retardants, surface gilding, multi-color finishes, metallized coatings, and paint spraying.
  • Wood Finishing Specialization: Perform graining, marbleizing, staining, and glazing on wood surfaces.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colors. Bending, crouching, and kneeling are required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in painting and coating, with a strong understanding of surface preparation and equipment operation.

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, with a focus on exterior and interior painting and coating.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 44 hours per week.
