The Procurement Specialist will work closely with the Category Buyer to authorize purchase orders for products, related materials, and components in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and be able to identify opportunities for cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase products based on demand to support customer orders and stock requirements.
  • Review purchasing requisitions for accuracy and verify current inventory levels.
  • Identify product requirements and coordinate with suppliers to meet tight deadlines.
  • Source and obtain price quotes from suppliers and prepare purchase orders.
  • Support Purchasing Agents and Category Buyers by entering order confirmations and data analysis.

Required Knowledge and Training:

  • High school graduate plus college diploma or related certificate preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheet programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
