**The opportunity**:

- Responsible for overseeing various types of research such as:

- Recurring research
- Specific primary market research
- Technical research
- Secondary research; and
- Internal data analysis (utility, customer history, third-party data)
- Responsible for consolidating research needs from each department during the annual budget exercise and developing annual research plans.
- Responsible for procuring and overseeing third-party research vendors and managing milestones and deliverables.
- Responsible to conduct debriefs after research is complete with a summary of findings (as requested)
- Responsible for creating a research action plan after the research is complete that identifies how the research will be used; who is responsible for implementation; and specific performance goals to be tied to the research.
- Maintain documentation in a logical/organized fashion and centralize research in a manner that is easy to use and identify.
- Responsible for managing the research budgets.
- Perform any other duties as required from time to time.

**What Will Help You Succeed?**
- University degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience managing corporate research initiatives
- Project management experience, (research planning, procurement, study design)
- Solution-focused with the ability to recognize opportunities and complete a project from the idea stage to successful completion.

**In the first week, expect to**:

- Learn about EfficiencyOne policies and practices.
- Meet team members and learn roles and responsibilities.
- Learn about key research initiatives.

**In the first month, expect to**:

- Obtain a deep understanding of recurring research.
- Meet 3rd with party research parties, and internal staff.
- Develop a strong understanding of EfficiencyOne's business model.
- Assume responsibilities for recurring research.

**In the first three months, expect to**:

- Assume responsibilities for all aspects of research responsibilities.
