Coast Hotels is seeking an experienced Lead Human Resources Business Partner to contribute to the success of our company. This key role will provide strategic HR support and leadership at one of our hotels, collaborating with the centralized People & Culture team.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented professional who can create an environment that motivates and engages our Ambassadors (employees). The ideal candidate will have experience working in a unionized environment and possess advanced communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the hotel's leadership team to develop a culture that aligns with Coast Hotels' values and promotes exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including OH&S, Employment Standards, Human Rights, and Labour Relations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to connect People & Culture plans with business objectives.
  • Provide expertise, support, and collaboration within a centralized model of human resources.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resource (CPHR) Professional designation or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of related experience, with 2-3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence leaders and peers.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and HRIS Systems.
