Dining Room Supervisor

At Touchmark, we are seeking a skilled Dining Room Supervisor to join our team. As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every resident and guest has an exceptional dining experience. You will work closely with the Dining Services Manager to oversee the daily operations of the dining room, including scheduling, budgeting, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage wait staff schedules and assist in front and back of house scheduling and reports as needed
- Work collaboratively with the Dining Room Manager and Executive Chef to enhance the dining experience and improve the company's profitability
- Help maintain appropriate payroll budgeting and scheduling of servers
- Assist in managing kitchen and dining staff to achieve customer service and financial goals of the dining department
- Help create a positive work environment to maintain low staff turnover
- Assist in coordinating front and back of house staff to create a seamless flow
- Be responsible for training and development of new wait staff
- Provide coaching to employees to perform job duties effectively
Requirements:
- Commitment to Touchmark's values of hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity
- Success in managing and motivating a team of employees
- Ability to work and make decisions in high-pressure situations
- Experience with training and scheduling team members
- Possession of or willingness to obtain an Alberta Government-approved Food Safety Certificate and a Liquor staff training certificate
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events
- Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
