Job Description:

As a Research Student, you will play a vital role in supporting a health services research project within the SE Research Centre. Your primary responsibility will be to provide assistance in generating tailored knowledge mobilization products, such as lay summaries, info graphics, and presentations, to support the application of recent research findings into practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a deliverable-focused workback plan.
  • Work collaboratively with a nurse scientist to execute knowledge mobilization products.
  • Organize and share knowledge mobilization products with interested parties within the organization.
  • Participate in writing academic research conference abstracts, publications, and/or a project grant outline.
  • Participate in and document action items from team meetings.

Requirements:
  • Graduate student or Graduate degree in nursing, social work, gerontology, health sciences, or health promotion.
  • Understanding of and/or experience working in hospice palliative care and/or with people experiencing structurally vulnerability.
  • Experience generating knowledge mobilization products including lay and academic writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to contribute to a team under complex research and organizational conditions.
  • Diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, creative thinking and decision-making capacity.
