About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Control Centre Coordinator to join our team at West Park Healthcare. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of our security personnel, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our control centre. This includes monitoring various systems, managing dispatch duties, and collaborating with the Dispatch Team Lead. If you have a strong background in security management and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the coordination of security personnel activities, including scheduling and task assignments
- Maintain situational awareness of all systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, and access control
- Provide guidance and support to security personnel during incidents or emergencies
- Coordinate with the Dispatch Team Lead to ensure effective communication and reporting
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in a team lead role within a security setting
- Post-secondary education in law enforcement or security is preferred
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, tact, and diplomacy
- IAHSS certificate is an asset
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Immunization Record, including MMR, Varicella, and 2 TB tests
- First Aid & CPR Level C certification
