Event Coordinator

Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat is seeking a skilled Event Planner to join our team. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing events, conferences, and meetings with precision and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing financial reports and managing budgets
- Promote conference and meeting services or special events
- Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers
- Develop financial procedures and determine requirements for hospitality services
- Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details
- Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services
- Plan schedules, goals, and objectives
- Develop registration systems and information materials
- Plan for traffic and crowd control and security
- Plan for social events and guest programs
- Develop policies and procedures and attend to other management responsibilities
- Prepare final financial and other reports
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Permanent employment
- 35 to 40 hours per week
- English language proficiency
- MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, work under pressure, and tight deadlines
- Flexibility, initiative, and organized
