Event Planner Job Description

Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat is seeking a skilled Event Planner to join our team. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing events, conferences, and meetings with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Assist in preparing financial reports, manage budgets, and develop financial procedures.
  • Event Coordination: Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities, arrange for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing, and other technical services.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
  • Registration and Information: Develop registration systems and information materials, plan for traffic and crowd control, and security.
  • Social Events: Plan for social events and guest programs.
  • Logistics: Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services, manage event logistics.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Skills: MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows.
Work Environment:
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, work under pressure.
  • Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, organized, team player.
Language:
  • Language: English.
