Medical Devices Reprocessing Specialist

Job Summary
Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Devices Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical equipment and instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, reprocess, and sterilize equipment, supplies, and instrumentation to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
- Address and resolve issues in a productive and respectful manner, exercising sound professional judgment and adhering to best practice guidelines.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all staff and patients by adhering to patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Technician Program (or equivalent) through an accredited College.
- Two years' experience working with complex surgical instruments and operating room instrumentation.
- Experience with Low Temperature Sterilization.
- Computer experience required.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of working experience in CS/SPD preferred.
